Youth Manifesto – On a meaningful youth involvement

The European Union offers a range of programs to nurture youth development, education, and training. However, the voices of young people are often absent in the design of these initiatives, leaving policymakers with incomplete insights into their needs and aspirations. To address this, the Youth Manifesto outlines practical steps for enhancing youth participation, including fostering curiosity and understanding of EU initiatives and making processes more accessible to young applicants.

Central to this effort is the understanding of macro-regional strategies, such as the USER plan for the Balkans, which holds significant funding opportunities for youth-focused projects. By grasping the intricacies of these strategies, youth organizations can better position themselves to access resources and shape policies that align with their priorities.

USER initiatives prioritize areas like blue growth, environmental quality, and sustainable tourism, all aimed at fostering growth, connectivity, and sustainability for future generations. Through active involvement in policymaking and program design, youth not only secure their own development but also contribute to the success and relevance of EU initiatives.
